About ChimSoft
ChimSoft was the brainchild of 2nd generation chimney sweep and Baltimore City fireman, Chris Johnson. In an effort to improve his chimney sweep business, Chris began to look for software that would help him manage his customers, generate estimates, and create inspections. What he found were a lot of software packages that did one aspect or the other, but nothing that combined all the features he needed. Not being very computer savvy, he also found most software packages too difficult to learn and use. So Chris enlisted the help of computer scientist, Phil Anderson. His idea was for a software package that was simple enough for any chimney sweep to use, but powerful enough that it would suit his needs. The result of over a year of research and development is ChimSoft. ChimSoft continues to become more powerful as more chimney sweeps across the country begin to use it, and we take all of our customer's feedback into consideration. |

Phil Anderson

Phil has worked in various aspects of the information technology field, from systems administration to software engineering over the past ten years. Phil holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland and has certifications in Microsoft development, TCP/IP, Linux, and web development.
John Stumpf
Director of Business Development
John is an expert in security, with a background in defense and criminology. John holds a Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland and is a certified EMT.
